The Civil Engineering Department was established in the year 2011 and is one of the youngest departments in the College. The department currently offers undergraduate course in civil engineering with a total yearly intake of 60 students. Within a short span, we have achieved many eminent engineers who are competent and committed to the high professional standards in the field of engineering and technology. Civil Engineering is one of the Core branch in Engineering comprising of Environmental, Transportation, structural Design & Analysis, surveying, geotechnical, irrigation, etc. The unique combination of faculty members from various specialisation and technical staff brings an interdisciplinary research culture within our division. The Department have well equipped laboratories like Basic civil engineering workshop, surveying laboratory, material testing laboratory, CADD laboratory, geotechnical engineering laboratory, transportation engineering laboratory and environmental engineering which serves the needs of a budding engineer. Department also encourages the students to undertake ongoing research projects from public and private sectors and also promotes extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, essential for overall development, nurturing their team spirit and there by students have won prestigious awards and recognition, and continuing to bring laurels to the Department and the Institute.
